Commentaire de Kaoswarrtaken fromElwynn Forest is a vast woodland that cradles the Human civilization of Azeroth. Though much of the area was burned or destroyed during the First War - when the Orcs laid siege to Stormwind - the giant trees and lush glades have grown anew. Heavily patrolled by the mighty Stormwind Garrison, Elwynn has remained a peaceful land since the war's end. Several farms stretch across the fertile fields, and the Garrison Guard Towers stand vigilant every few miles, helping to keep the forest safe from the rampaging forces of the Horde. The tranquil forest is also inhabited by wild Boars and Wolves that hunt throughout the woodlands in hope of finding easy prey. Scraggly Gnolls and grimy Kobolds wander the forest's outlying regions, but seldom do these timorous creatures attack property in Elwynn or Stormwind directly.

For the most part, Elwynn exudes a feeling of comfort and serenity. However, if travelers wander too far off the main roads they may still encounter hidden dangers lurking within the shadows. Commentaire de SempraThe glorious forests of Elwynn were once peacefully inhabited by nature and wildlife. When the humans settled in, and the First War began, next to all of it's wonderous forests were ruined. Now, it's even worse. Kobolds infest the mines, Defias gangmembers have campsites strewn threw the forests, and have even taken over the Brackwell Pumpkin Patch.

Wolves have been afflicted with the mange and attacked farmers. Murlocs have settled along the rivers. Gnolls have also set up campsites. As a new human recruit, you must do your best to end the madness that is defiling the once wonderful forests of Elwynn. Points of interest: Northshire Valley, where Humans begin their journey. Goldshire, the second town you will encounter. Eastvale Logging Camp, where you can learn tailoring as well as receive quests.

The Stonefield Farm and Maclure Vineyards, where yet even more quests await. Westbrook Garrison, where you will be recruited to battle Gnolls. And finally, Stormwind City, the glorious capital of Human empire. Commentaire de Debie980Elwynn forest is the spawning area for humans they spawn in northshire abbey.

When you finish the quests in northshire go to goldshire which you can reach by following the southwest rode from northshire abbey goldshire is a small town in the middle of the zone. There are many quests you can get there aswell as you can get quests from many other places in Elwynn. The capital city of the humans is located in the northwest corner of the zone. You should be able to get level 12 by the time you are leaving elwynn forest. Commentaire de ClopertThings to Note:. The visits just outside Goldshire every now and then.East of goldshire, just of the path, you will find the where alliance enchanters can go to increase their enchanting capabilities. Human Paladins are sent to Stonecairne Lake in order to complete a quest for their ability.

The Eastvale Logging Camp is a location for quests for low level players and players 40+ can visit it to purchase mounts. There is a Defias filled little area by a lake, which is seen on the map between Westbrook Garrison and Stormwind.

It has low level defias mobs and is often overlooked by the majority of players. To access it, simply go to the area and walk up the hills to the north of the waterfall(there is a discreet path). Commentaire de AristazraelAnother quick fact not too many people seem to know is that should you do all the Quest in Elwynn you'll not only reach around Lv12-13 depending on if you Grind excessively, but you'll also reach Honoured with Stormwind. Anyone taking the time and effort to go around each of the Alliance starting areas doing all of the quests regardless of how low thier level, would reach around Lv15-16 and would be honoured with Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Gnomeregan and the Exodar. Though not many people do as it's time consuming but it does prolong the enjoyment of the game and lets you meet a lot of new people.

Commentaire de snub999You can get to the area north of northshire by running over the mountains in the extreme west/southwest of Burning Steppe. You must be level 50+ and having a mount is a good idea.

You can see the half finished stuff texturing work up there, as well as chill out at the camp that you always see when you fly over going north of SW. Getting down though is a problem. I jumped off of the waterfall and either the pool at the bottom isn't deep enough or I didn't land it right.SPLAT. Commentaire de ThottbotYour Guide to elwynn forest:(Elwynn forest is level 5-10 and northshire valley is lvl 1-5.

The highest level enemy NPC in northshire is Garrik Padfoot, and he is by northshire vineyyards.Home to the human race, this faction is considered already a real race. Lol, don't get me wrong here.In elwynn forest, you can find Goldshire, a small zone town just when you walk right out of northshire. Keep following the road until you see a Blacksmith and an inn. Before seeing these 2 buildings, you see a house, that has leatherworking and skinning trainers, and some fishing trainers outside it.The City is Stormwind, the human race's capital city. This is the alliance's main city since it has all class trainers, all profession and secondary skill trainers, inns, and auction house, vendors, a grython master, and The champions hall, which is a place in old town. Generally the champion hall is for 50+ players that are in need of epic weapons, armor, and epic mounts, spending their Battleground Marks, money, and honor.this zone connects to 3 other Zones: Redridge mountains, westfall, and duskwood. This place has Fresh Quests, In the means that their quests aren't too hard. How to get exalated:Human mounts are horses.

To get exalated you must first Reach Northshire in need. You shall first move into Northshire, the human 1-5 area. As soon as you finished the quests in northshire you should be at least half frendly with them. Move into elwynn forest and do their quests.

1 hour later u should be honored with them.move into duskwood, do their quests. You literly are now revered. Now for redridge.

This area is level 15-26. Btw.once you have done redridge's quests, in a varitey, you are now exalated. Have fun getting your mount! The training shoulsd cost 35g and the mount sohuld be 9g. Mounts require level 30 to get. This Area is Alliance Territory. And I am saying, you shall keep leveling in this zone until you are at least level 12.

Then you can move into westfall, near forest's edge. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Lions Pride Inn is the largest building in Goldshire. Innkeeper Farley and Assistant Innkeeper Melika Isenstrider run the inn. When you stay at an inn, you rest very comfortably.

Because of this, you become 'well rested' much more quickly than you would in the wilderness. When you are well rested, you learn more from experience. You may also speak with any innkeeper to get a hearthstone. You use the hearthstone to quickly return to the Lion Pride Inn. There is a mailbox in front of the inn.

You can mail messages and items to other players. The inn is home to several class trainers, profession trainers and merchants. They include:First Floor Cook Tomas (Cooking trainer) Toddrick (Butcher, cooking supplies) Barkeep Dobbins (merchant) Brog Hamfist (merchant, general supplies) William Pestle (Quest giver)Second Floor Zaldimar Wefhellt (Mage Trainer) Priestess Josetta (Priest Trainer) Keryn Sylvius (Rogue Trainer) Michelle Belle (Physician, first aid trainer). Commentaire de AllakhazamFor those planning prolonged stays in Elwynn Forest, Goldshire will serve as a perfect home. The town features trainers, a plethora of quests that need doing, a robust blacksmith's shop replete with trainers and equipment vendors, and various other amenities. Of note, there is a Fishing trainer at the dock near the town's edge, near Crystal Lake. There is also a renowned First Aid trainer in a room at the Goldshire Inn.Of note elsewhere in the vicinity, but not within Goldshire's borders, is a small hut high up in the hills near the entrance to Stormwind.

A path rises to it from the clearing where Defias Cutpurses are known to roam, Inside this hut is an Herbalism and Alchemy trainer. Both professions compliment each other perfectly, and it's a great spot for new adventurers to set up their first Profession combination. Nearly is the 'Crazy Cat Lady', who sells comfortable cages for cats (felines included with purchase). Surrounding her house is a forest area simply filled with Defias Cutpurses and hungry wolves. Adventurers are urged to do their part for the safety of the cats.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:38am by Reinjin.

Commentaire de AllakhazamNorthshire Abbey is a small church surrounded by Northshire Valley. The abbey is home to many class trainers, and outside, a small market has been set up by various merchants who carry basic low-level supplies and equipment. Humans begin their adventure here, and the quests offered will help them grasp the very foundations of gameplay. Remember to look everywhere inside the abbey for stairways if you can't find a certain NPC. There are also quest-giving NPCs around the perimeter of the abbey. While you may want to leave around level 5 or even 4 if you're impatient, there are enough quests and trained skills to keep any player busy until level 7.

The abbey is a great home base until then. Afterwards, follow the path to Goldshire and set up your new base there.Edited, Thu Aug 18 20. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Stonefield Farm is just down the path from Goldshire. Along this path are Forest Spiders and Stonetusk Boars, which are good kill-fodder for those around Level 5 to 7.The farm itself is visible off the road.

More boars and spiders roam the area around the farm, plus a Young Forest Bear or two. If you approach the edge of the farm near the river, be careful.

You might get spotted by Level 9-ish creatures called Riverpaws.Once in a while, a Harvest Watcher, a dangerous mechanical foe that can easily take care of anyone under Level 10, may appear in the actual crop field of the farm. It's an imposing sight, so it's not easy to run into accidentally.Aside from that, the other buildings of the farm are safe and feature a food vendor and several quest NPCs. A series of quests that require you to run from Stonefield Farm to Maclure Vineyards and back a few times begins here. Commentaire de AllakhazamThis cluster of huts and farmhouses is home to several quest NPCs and a vendor or two. It's also a sort of 'rival' to the Stonefield Farm just a short distance away, on the other side of the Fargodeep Mine entrance building. Both are farm-type areas. The place is a great hunting ground for those around levels 4 to 6, due to the nonhostile and relatively weak Stonetusk Boars. If you venture away from the vineyard's borders, you may encounter Young Forest Bears, Forest Spiders, and maybe even a Kobold Tunneler or two that has found its way up into the forest from the Fargodeep Mine.

These are all something anyone under levels 5-7 should keep an eye out for.Edited, Fri Aug 19 18. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Tower of Azora is maintained by the diminuitive Gnomes as a sort of outpost in the ingredient-rich Elwynn Forest.

Inside are various NPCs, including trainers for Mages and the Enchantment profession. There are also a couple vendors. All in all, a nice respite from the dangers of the eastern portion of Elwynn Forest.Surrounding the tower are Rockhead Boars, which are nonhostile, and Gray Wolves, which are.

They're both manageable for anyone Level 8 and up. Young Forest Bears are known to saunter. Be careful if you're below Level 9. Commentaire de AllakhazamThis logging camp, surprisingly, is larger than the region's village.

Although there is no inn or proper market area, the camp has many residents as Goldshire does. Eastvale has become known as a great place for adventurers to rest their tired feet as they make the journey from Stormwind City to Lakeshire in the Redridge Mountains. The camp's workforce has need of adventurers. The Defias, the forest wildlife, and the carnivorous Murlocs all threaten the safety of the logging camp. A safe logging camp is a happy logging camp, and a happy logging camp is a productive logging camp. A logging camp, namely this one, is also a great place to purchase a happy horse which is the human race's signature mount.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:23am by Reinjin. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Jasperlode Mine is a step up from Fargodeep Mine in terms of monster levels, but its layout is more like that of Echo Ridge.

There are fewer convoluted paths and open areas than Fargodeep, that's for sure. Those Kobold Miners who you encountered in Fargodeep are now also wandering around outside, and so are Kobold Geomancers. These guys can use magic, and prefer staying at a distance. A deadly combination can occur if you're occupied fighting a Miner and a Geomancer takes note of you. It'll hang back and pelt you with fireballs, which hurt. Be at least level 8 before coming here, though I heartily recommend level 9.As you head deeper into the mine, past more clusters of Kobolds, you realize the deepest parts of the mine aren't even in the Kobold's control. Mine Spiders have taken over, and they can poison you.

They can be managed at level 9. The very back chamber of the mine is occasionally home to Mother Fang, a named mob and a level 10 spider. I would recommend level 11 just to be safe. That back chamber is often thick with arachnids and getting her alone is difficult. Commentaire de AllakhazamReplete with untouched veins of ore and kobolds alike, the Fargodeep mine is not as deep as its name suggests. But it's deep enough to get lost in.

Treasure chests are common sights both inside and outside the mine, but the grimy kobolds protect them with tooth and nail. Within the cavernous interiors of the mine, adventurers often run into the greedy Goldtooth who is known throughout Elwynn for his kleptomania. Some of those who have returned from the deepest chambers of the mine also report seeing Narg the Taskmaster himself leading the kobold mining operations. Narg is the leader of the kobolds in Elwynn Forest and is an elite foe to be sure.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:28am by Reinjin. Commentaire de AllakhazamLocated across the river from the Fargodeep Mine/Farm and Vineyard area, the Westbrook Garrison is a small outpost for the Alliance.

    The Collector Wow

There are trainers inside the larger squarish building, as well as weapon and armor vendors. The forest surrounding the Westbrook Garrison is home to passive boars called Longsnout. Fight them if you're level 10 or higher. They're one of the most powerful passive enemies in the Elwynn Forest region. Also keep an eye out for Riverpaws if you approach the river near the Garrison. They can be challenging if you're under level 9 or so.Edited, Sat Aug 20 03.

Commentaire de AllakhazamThe lake itself is surrounded by a dense forest filled with Prowlers, and there are camps of humanoid enemies at certain points near the lakeshore. The northwest corner, tucked away in a seldom visited area, is home to an expansive Gnoll Riverpaw campground, and around the entire southeastern side of the lake is an even bigger Murloc camp.I think it qualifies as a town. This area is a definite no-go for anyone below level 10, and even then, it's not really fully explorable until you get near level 12.

If you do get a chance to explore, try to get to the chests that spawn in the various encampments. They're filled with valuable items. The monsters here are also known to drop uncommon items every once in a while.

Commentaire de AllakhazamLocated roughly across the path from the Tower of Azora, the Brackwell Pumpkin Patch probably belonged to some poor farmer who was run out of his home by the heartless Defias that now occupy the area. There are Defias Bandits crawling out of the woodwork. They patrol around the perimeter of the pumpkin fields, and even inside the barn at the north end of the farm. Adventurers may also need to contend with the odd Young Forest Bear.

There are Rockhide Boars surrounding the area, as well, but they are of little threat.Plodding across the pumpkin patch are Princess and her two Porcine Entourages. Acting as her bodyguard, these diminuitive boars will put up a fight if challenged. Adventurers are often tasked with slaying Princess for her gluttonous ways. Far more threatening than pig groupies are Morgan the Collector and his henchmen, who are up to no good inside a cottage on the farm premises.

Stormwind Guards have come across evidence that they are involved in a plot to take the gold mined from Elwynn's quarries and use it for their own insidious purposes. If you recover any evidence that this is in fact true, you may be asked to slay the Collector himself.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:18am by Reinjin. Commentaire de AllakhazamCrystal Lake, located to the east of Goldshire, is a peaceful lake. At least, on the surface. Mangy Wolves and Forest Spiders prowl the edges closer to Goldshire, but intrepid travelers who chance a swim through its waters should be careful.

Murlocs and Murloc Streamrunners populated those small villages, and even an experienced player can fall prey to collected groups of Murlocs. Sometimes travel here is a necessity, especially when crystal kelp needs to be collected, but caution is the word of the day.Be wary when in this area.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:23am by Reinjin. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Forest's Edge marks Elwynn Forest's border with Westfall. This area is the territory of the Riverpaw Gnolls, intelligent dog-like creatures with a tendency to swarm unwary travellers. Their commander, Hogger, is an elite foe who has been causing the Stormwind Guard plenty of problems. A bounty has been posted, promising to reward adventurers who slay him. These quaint woods are also home to the peaceful longsnout, some of the largest boars in all of Azeroth.Edited, Jan 12th 2007 6:31am by Reinjin.

Commentaire de AllakhazamThis is definitely the most dangerous area in all of Elwynn Forest. This is also most likely the Defias' main base of operations, which should give you an idea of how guarded it is. This area, sandwiched between Brackwell Pumpkin Patch and The Maclure Vineyards, is not a farm, but instead mostly plain forest. This part of the forest, however, is roamed by bands of Defias bandits, nosy Young Forest Bears, and even the odd Rogue Wizard.

This adds up to an area that players under level 11 should steer clear of, due to all the linking mobs. The real danger is near the small building at the riverside. This is where the Defias bring all the stuff they steal and pickpocket from the poor farmers and peasants of Elwynn Forest. Defias Dockworkers travel in groups of three around this dock, and they're all level 9.

However, if you pick a fight with one, you pick a fight with all of them. Fighting three of these guys at once, plus the risk of attracting additional bandits, is something no one below level 12 should try.It gets worse. The Defias Dockmaster inside the small building is level 10, and attacking him causes two or three Defias Bodyguards to attack you along with him, and they're also level 10. I would seriously advise against this unless you're level 15 or above. You can take a pounding, and if the Dockworkers outside take notice, things can get very ugly very fast.Fortunately, you're not required to head into this area very often.

Cherish it, and stay away unless you don't mind risking life and limb. Commentaire de AllakhazamMirror Lake is a rather nondescript part of Elwynn forest, located west of Goldshire, south of Stormwind's gates, and north of Westbrook Garrison. The area is populated by Mangy Wolves, Forest Spiders, and pockets of Defias Cutpurses and even Bandits. If you approach the waterfall that feeds into the lake, you'll find a path heading up towards the top of the waterfall, and this leads to the oft-overlooked Thunder Falls area. Beware, though, you will have to deal with Defias Rogue Wizards that can make sliced ham out of players below level 9 or 10. Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Mirror Lake Orchard is tucked away in a rather remote part of Elwynn Forest. That's good, though, because this place can be a deathtrap for anyone below level 10. Firstly, the orchard itself, next to the small cottage, is thick with vegetation, which can hide an entire group of Defias Bandits.

So even a level 10 character can die rather quickly at their hands. A Defias Rogue Wizard has been spotted in the vicinity a few times, and they can be threats to characters as high as 11 or 12.To top things off, a named Defias enemy called Morgaine the Sly makes her home in the cottage by the orchard. Alone, she can be taken safely by a level 11 player, but getting her alone is neigh impossible.

You should wait until level 12 before making your first attempt to 'free' the orchard. Commentaire de Allakhazamthere is two ways that i have tried but i cant really get it but the first is by the mountaineers, you go over to the mountains in the direction in SW and there is a place where you can wall jump up. Im not a good walll jumper but i have seen others get up there. Then you go to the direction of the house and fall down to it. The other way is you go and mount where the cliff is overlooking the river and there is a path to the top of the falls where you get to it. But you have to wall jump a part of it.happy exploring:). Commentaire de AllakhazamThere are also class trainers, merchants, and other quest-giving NPCs around the outside perimeter of the Abbey.

There are no profession trainers on the Abbey grounds but an Alchemy and Herbalism trainer can be found in the hills to the east.To find the Alchemy and Herbalism trainers, go out the south gate of Northshire Valley. Turn west along the base of the hills toward Stormwind. You will come to a Defias camp. Go around or fight your way through. Stay along the hills until you come to a lamppost and some boxes at the bottom of a draw. Go up the draw to a small house, inside are: Alchemist Mallory (Alchemy trainer) Herbalist Pomeroy (Herbalism trainer). Commentaire de AllakhazamThe Northshire Vineyards seem peaceful when seen from the Abbey or the hills of the Valley.

However, as you cross the small wooden bridge, you quickly realize it's crawling with foes. The vineyards, which used to supply the Abbey with plentiful drink, is now taken over by the Defias Brotherhood. Defias Thugs roam the area, and a named Defias called Garrick Padfoot has set up camp near the vineyards, posing a threat to those under level 5 or 6.Even Level 5 players may have trouble if more than two Defias Thugs gang up on them. Exercise caution and a little common sense before engaging thugs in proximity of their comrades.Edited, Fri Aug 19 23. Commentaire de AllakhazamBobosa, you know that the post where made as a 'note' by a moderator later on?

He did not copy paste.:PBtw, what you can do there is climb up and climbwalk in SW.:P There are 2 possible climbing ways, one from that zone, and one from the rightside (when you look at the big entrance gate, to the right).Cant give details, to much to write. And in 190 it wont work to climb so, if you havent been there then you have lost some experience. ^^Edited, Sun Jan 1 21. Commentaire de AllakhazamTo get to this obscure area, find a rising mountain path along the western hills bordering Mirror Lake. Watch out for Defias Bandits and Rogue Wizards, though. The area's entrance features a single hut guarded by a half-dozen or so Defias Bandits. They tend to gang up and are best taken by anyone over level 10.

Treasure chests may materialize here. The rest of the area is fairly boring, consisting of rivers and streams winding through the mountains. The end of the river area is over the precipice of the waterfall that can be seen from Westbrook Garrison. Don't try and jump it unless you've got a lot of HP. I tried, and died a fool's death.
