It has almost been an entire decade since we have had a decent Simpsons game on consoles and PC, as most the development efforts have been sueded over to mobile.More exciting news - join the writers and producers of for a panel on June 11! More info to come.

— E3 (@E3)Maybe its time for a change, maybe its time for Simpson's Hit and Run 2, or at least that is what I hope will be discussed at The Simpson's panel at E3 2019. I remember playing Simpson's Hit and Run as a kid and having an absolute blast tearing through Springfield in my rocket car, perhaps I will be able to relive those memories in a more technologically and graphically updated follow-up title?The above announcement has come from the official E3 Twitter page, and they are proud to announce that the writers and producers of the long running TV show will be having their own panel at E3 on June 11th. It is unclear what the topics of discussion will be, but the panel will be at E3 so it can at least be assumed that the conversations will revolve somewhat around games, or perhaps a new game.
We will have to wait and see what happens, hopefully we get a next-gen Simpsons title to look forward to in the near to late future.

The Simpsons decide to go after him, but Mr. Burns has tons of henchmen, who want to prevent the family getting their daughter back.The Simpsons Arcade Game is a conversion from the arcade game. It's basically a side-scrolling beat-em-up featuring the characters from The Simpsons TV show.
The player can choose to play as each of the four Simpson characters. Homer, who punches and kicks; Marge, who swings her vacuum cleaner; Bart, who wields his skateboard; and Lisa, who uses a jump rope as a whip. Other weapons such as hammers and bowling balls are also available to use. The game's levels are Downtown Springfield, Krustyland, Springfield Discount Cemetery, Moe's Tavern, Springfield Gorge, Dreamland, the Channel 6 studio, and the Power Plant. Each level ends with a boss whose speed and strength will increase after taking a certain amount of damage.
End level bosses are the wrestler Professor Werner von Brawn, a hot air balloon shaped like Krusty the Clown, a pair of bouncers, a drunk at Moe's Tavern, a henchman in a bear suit, an imaginary, gigantic bowling ball, and a martial arts sensei dressed like a kabuki actor. There's also the showdown finale against Smithers and Mr. Burns in a robotic outfit.Between levels, the player can compete against the other characters in two mini-games to be first to complete a task (inflating a ballon and waking up their character).A great conversion of the arcade game of the same name, based on one of the world's most popular cartoon series of all time, Konami's The Simpsons features great graphics (for its time, of course), fluid animation, and best of all- faithful characters' personalities and gameworld that truly brings the Simpsons' Springfield to life. In this episode, the Simpson's troubles begins when Mr. Smithers has kidnapped Maggie right in front of her family.
Your mission is to rescue the youngest Simpson from the clutches of the evil sycophant.You can choose to play as any of the remaining Simpsons, each with his or her own characteristics that fans will instantly recognize. Bart is the most fun of the bunch: he scoots around on his skateboard, which he can use to whack people with the skateboard, or jump over them. When he dies, a devilishly red Bart (complete with pitchfork) hovers over the corpse, and (if you have any remaining lives) the new Bart zooms in in his Bartman costume. The second-most fun character to play is Marge, who wields a mighty Hoover vacuum cleaner as her weapon. Lisa swings her jumprope around like a whip, and is the most difficult character to play because of her low health level and limited attacks. Lastly, Homer simply punches the bad guys with his fists, but can endure a lot of damage before dying.

Most bad guys are dressed in purple suits, but many of them are disguised as nonchalant citizens who quickly ambush you by surprise.All of the game's 8 levels ('stages') and 2 bonus levels take place in locations from the show that are faithfully recreated, including the Springfield Cemetery, Moe's Tavern, Krustyland, and even The Nuclear Power Plant. Although The Simpsons offers two-player mode, Konami unfortunately removed the 'team play' feature in the arcade original that offers new attack modes when two players team up (e.g.

Bart can hope on to Homer's shoulders, and Marge and Homer can tumble together like human wheel). However, there are still many creative weapons that scatter around the screen (my favorites being the slingshot and snowball), as well as food and other items, that gameplay is always refreshing. Overall, this is a great game based on the show, and a must-play for every Simpsons and platform game fan. Just be wary of very difficult end-level bosses.
